NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — Lyn Brigham, director of National Technical Sales for Atkore, has announced her retirement effective January 31, 2025.
Lyn began her career more than four decades ago with AFC Cable Systems, a brand of Atkore. When few women held national sales positions in the field, she broke barriers and paved the way for others. Early in her career, Brigham played a crucial role in collaborating with municipalities and electrical boards throughout the United States to advocate for the adoption of Armored and Metal Clad Cable in commercial construction. Her efforts contributed to widespread acceptance and compliance, solidifying the company’s presence and influence in the industry.
“My first mentor, Jim Dollins, a former executive for AFC Cable Systems, and countless industry professionals, were willing to share their knowledge and experiences with me,” said Brigham. “The electrical industry is a community of sharing and generous people.”
For many years, Brigham held sales management roles and was a company representative for IMARK, AD, NAED, and IAEI meetings and conferences, establishing customer-facing relationships to mutually grow business together. Atkore sales representatives, customers, and contractors will remember Lyn’s enthusiastic and engaging product presentations.
Brigham is a long-standing board member of the Roger Williams Chapter IAEI, and an original attendee and advocate for the NAED WII Conference. She is an enthusiastic promoter and mentor of women in the electrical industry.
Throughout her career, Brigham has exemplified leadership, resilience, and excellence. She leaves a legacy of countless contributions to Atkore and the electrical industry. Her positive impact will remain, by all who had the privilege to collaborate with her.
“Congratulations, Lyn on a remarkable career, and all the best as you embark on this well-deserved next chapter.”
