Atlantic Coast Electric Supply Hosts Training Event

Atlantic Coast Electric Supply Hosts Training Event

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Atlantic Coast Electric Supply (ACES) hosted a Hands-on Installation Training event of PVC Coated Conduit with NEC BlackGuard for their customers. The event was held at their new branch in North Charleston located at 2132 Aamco Way. NEC, Inc President, Steve Osborne and VP of Sales, Keith Conley led the training, traveling all the way from Houston, TX. Watson Sales Co. Electrical Solutions Owner, Bruce Watson and Sales Representative, Josh Watson, brought this opportunity to branch manager, Jason Hyman as an opportunity to get contractors officially certified for installing BlackGuard PVC coated conduit and were also at the training. Conley and Osborne led the trainees through a presentation followed by hands-on installation training. Each trainee had the opportunity for hands-on cutting, bending, threading, and proper touchup as part of the certification. Twenty-two customers completed the training and earned certification from NEC Inc. BlackGuard. B. Watson commented, “It was truly a concerted effort, especially with Conley’s presentation and Osborne’s expertise from the tiniest of details- he could write a book on the intricacies of coated conduit!”

The training offered a morning and afternoon session with a food truck and raffle for customers. Four lucky customers walked away with either a Yeti cooler or one of BlackGuard’s Butterfly Clamp sets with Phalanx Grip technology. Conley from NEC stated, “Thank you to Atlantic Coast Electric Supply for all their efforts making our training event such a success. One of the best we have ever had. BlackGuard appreciates the great partnership we have with Atlantic Coast.”

“These types of events are very important to our customers and employees. They develop relationships, educate people on new products and the solutions they offer, and increase brand recognition for both ACES and NEC BlackGuard. The event turnout was very strong and reflects the fact that educational events like these are important to our customers.”
