Bell Electrical Supply Announces New Owner

David Wallen

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Bell Electrical Supply (BES) announces David Wallen as the new owner. Wallen has over 30 years in the electrical industry, with the last 20 plus years managing in electrical distribution. Burt Schraga, who owned the company for the past 45 years, will retire but remain on the Board of Directors.

Wallen started at Bell in 2005 as the VP of Construction Sales. In 2007 he was promoted to President, and at the start of this year became President & CEO.

Burt Schraga, who this past May was honored with the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) Arthur W. Hooper Award at the NAED National Meeting, says, “David is highly capable and passionate about this industry and committed to servicing customers and developing a healthy work environment. I couldn’t be more pleased to have him lead Bell Electrical Supply into the future.”

AD Electrical President, Ed Crawford, shares, “We are extremely fortunate to have David on the AD Electrical U.S. Board.  As an unselfish, passionate, growth-oriented leader, David personifies the AD community of strong Independent Distributors.  He consistently invests for the future and unselfishly contributes both his time and ideas.”

Wallen says, “I elected to join Bell Electrical Supply 13 years ago because I believed the company was well positioned in the Bay Area to compete against national chains.” He continues, “Today, I believe that more than ever. We have an amazing team that is passionate about taking care of our customers, combined with the best suppliers in the industry!  And as strong as Bell Electrical Supply is today, the investments we are making in programs like e-commerce will ensure we are a trusted supplier for years to come.”
