FARGO, N.D. — The United Way of Cass-Clay (Cass and Clay counties, North Dakota) recently recognized Border States Electric and Dakota Supply Group in their list of the top 50 most generous companies of 2015. Border States ranked number three and Dakota Supply ranked number 35.
Both companies are sponsors of the United Way of Cass-Clay.
According to its website, more than 650 businesses partner with United Way every year. These businesses serve as a role model for corporate social responsibility which in turn creates a culture of caring among their employees. These businesses give their employees the opportunity to invest in comprehensive community-wide strategies that are helping people all across our community.
Additionally, these companies are leading the way by empowering and encouraging their employees to get involved, volunteer and give back to the community we all call home — and it’s having a positive impact on the lives of thousands of men, women and children.
Kristina Hein, Marketing Director of the United Way, stated, “It’s really important that we have support of corporations in our community. What’s even more important is that we have support from individuals and employees that work at these companies [because] they truly thrive from those philanthropic contributions and they want to work for a company that gives back to their community.
