
FARGO, N.D. — Border States announced the retirement of Matt Eddleman, Executive VP Construction Core Market from the company on March 31, 2025.
Eddleman has dedicated his entire career to the electrical industry, including roles in manufacturing and more than 30 years in electrical distribution. He joined Border States in 2005 as the Southwest Region Manager, later serving as VP of the Southwest Region and Executive VP – West before stepping into his current role in April 2024. Throughout his career, Eddleman’s drive for success and focus on people has shaped his approach to leadership and added tremendous value to his work at Border States.
“Matt is open and honest, always keenly focused on our people and customers and relentlessly driven to find the right solutions,” said Don Masters, Executive VP – Sales and Marketing at Border States. “Matt exemplifies what employee-ownership means, demonstrated through his commitment to serving his fellow employee-owners and customers.”
As he transitions into retirement, Eddleman reflects on his career and acknowledges the relationships built with fellow employee-owners, as well as the numerous customers and vendors he’s worked with.
“It’s a bittersweet moment filled with both excitement for the future and a deep sense of gratitude for the journey I’ve had at Border States,” Eddleman said. “I’ve witnessed firsthand how this ownership culture fosters a unique level of commitment, collaboration and care – not just for each other, but also our customers and vendors. My goal was to help build a diverse team of servant leaders who will continue to guide Border States toward a wildly successful future. I feel a sense of pride in having accomplished just that, leaving behind a great team.”
Border States thanks Eddleman for his many years of service and contributions to the company and industry, and wishes him well as he begins this next chapter!

Stepping into the role of Senior VP Construction Core Market is Jody Brannock. With a proven track record of success at Border States as an Area and then Regional Sales Director, Brannock brings a wealth of industry experience with him to the role.
“Jody has established himself as a successful and accomplished leader both within and outside of our company,” said Masters.
Brannock is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has held previous roles at ABB and Southwire. He has also worked with other agencies and distributors within the electrical distribution industry, where he has demonstrated a strong commitment to investing in and developing his teams and produced strong sales growth and productivity improvements.
“I really appreciate and respect the dedication that Matt Eddleman has lead the Border States Construction Business throughout his career,” Brannock said. “This is a great opportunity to work alongside of our sales team helping direct the strategic growth initiatives and I would like to thank Border States leadership for their confidence in me to move this core market business forward.”
