Border States Electric Promotes James Sipe

FARGO, N.D. ­— Border States Electric (BSE) has promoted James Sipe to vice president strategy enablement effective April 1. In this role, Sipe will lead business intelligence, integration of acquisitions, and maximization of strategic projects.

“James has a proven track record of accomplishment; we are excited he joined our employee-owned company to help us sharpen our focus and execution of strategic projects,” says Tammy Miller, CEO. “James will also lead acquisition integration and sustainable process improvement.”

Sipe joined BSE through the company’s acquisition of Shealy Electric Wholesalers in August 2016 as strategy enablement director. He joined Shealy in 2011 and served as their vice president of operations in Columbia, S.C.

“I am excited to contribute to this great company,” Sipe says. “The strategy enablement team will create more visibility and accountability to completing annual strategic initiatives and more seamlessly integrate acquisitions. All with a goal to provide more value to our customers and employee-owners.”

Sipe has been married to Gartha for 25 years. They have two sons and recently moved to Fargo.
