SAN JOSE, Calif. — On Saturday June 4th, Buckles-Smith Electric employees and friends participated in the National Parkinson Foundation’s Moving Day® Silicon Valley at Evergreen College in San Jose.
With Buckles-Smith’s employee donation match program, “Buckles Gives Back”, every employee who participated in the event had their participation fee paid, and donations matched dollar for dollar. Together with the Moving Day Silicon Valley Team, Buckles-Smith helped raise more than $100,000 that will go towards improving the quality of care for people with Parkinson’s disease.
Moving Day® Silicon Valley offers a “chance to come together and win the battle against Parkinson’s disease,” according to the National Parkinson Foundation website.
Buckles-Smith is committed to giving back to local communities in which their employees work and live.
