BURNDY announces the addition of Vance Smith to the US Sales organization as the South Central Regional Sales Manager. Smith joined the team effective September 16, 2013 and will report to Warren Jenkins, Vice President Sales & Marketing. Smith will be responsible for leading the South Central Region CM&R sales force. This region includes Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
Smith comes to BURNDY from Rockwell Automation where he served as Channel Manager-Gulf Coast Region. While at Rockwell, Smith was an active leader in the Sales Mentorship Program Rockwell uses to develop sales talent. His responsibilities included building market focus business plans, developing customer distributor training courses and facilitating quarterly business reviews with the management teams. Previously, Smith worked at Panduit for five years in numerous sales roles including Manager of Strategic Accounts and Territory Manager.
Smith has a strong background with a consistent record of achieving objectives and holds a BS in Agricultural Development from Texas A&M University. He is an active member in several professional organizations and lives in the Houston area.
