CES Celebrates 25 Years of Business in the Southeast

DALLAS, Texas — City Electric Supply (CES) recently celebrated a big company milestone. Five locations across the southeast celebrated 25 years of service in their respective communities. Spanning across the Carolinas and into Georgia, branch teams celebrated more than just two decades of business; they also reflected on their personal journeys with the company.

In Georgia 25 years ago, CES opened Augusta West as the company’s first branch in the state. Branch Manager Brian Taylor has worked at the Augusta West location since the store opened its doors.

“I was one of the first people hired at this location when it opened 25 years ago. I am very thankful I have been able to play a part in this branch’s journey,” said Brian. “As the first CES branch in the state, to see where we started to where we have grown today, it has been an amazing experience.”

The locations across the Carolinas celebrated their anniversaries with branch members reflecting on their own journeys with the company. The Monroe, NC location holds a special place in Branch Manager Jamie Long’s heart.

“I started my journey with City Electric Supply just one year after the Monroe branch opened,” said Jamie. “Being a part of the branch’s growth and accomplishments throughout the years is a huge highlight in my career. It was an awesome day hosting our anniversary celebration and getting to share some of my favorite memories with community members.”

“I have been with CES for 15 years now and have had the pleasure of working with so many great people during my time here,” said CES Aiken Branch Manager Samantha Thomas. “This company took a chance on me when I was 20 years old, and now here I am as the Branch Manager. I’ve seen our Aiken location grow so much in my time, and I am honored to be part of such a milestone.”

For Eric Morgan, his 18-year journey with CES began with an entry-level role as a delivery driver. Today, Eric is the proud manager of CES Rock Hill.

“I have had the opportunity to meet and work with some amazing colleagues, customers in Rock Hill, and management along my journey with CES,” said Eric. “The highlight of my 18 years here at City Electric Supply would be advancing my way from delivery driver to branch manager. To see CES Rock Hill reach 25 years of service is an incredible honor.”

The celebrations included a chance to donate to Make-A-Wish® with the branches bringing in almost $2,000 for the organization. The most recent partnership City Electric Supply has with Make-A-Wish was made possible by its social impact program, CES Cares. CES is a proud national partner of Make-A-Wish and supports its goal of granting life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

“CES Cares was created to help employees give back to causes they care about in their communities. Make-A-Wish gives them the opportunity to do that as the funds raised at each branch create a positive impact on Wish Kids and their families living in their community,” said Social Impact Manager for CES Cares Karen Gray.

Industry-leading vendors, including Klein, Milwaukee, Eaton, and TAMCO, were all on-site, offering exclusive deals and product demonstrations for customers.

“It feels great to have our vendors come out and be a part of the celebration,” said District Manager Shawn Odom. “Without them, none of this would be possible.”

“It’s hard to express how much we appreciate the support and trust customers and community members have given us over the last 25 years in helping grow our business,” said Regional Manager R.T. Smith. “It has been an honor for me to be a small part of it.”

While the celebrations have come to an end, these CES teams are excited to keep providing quality customer service and continue forming relationships with their community members.

“It has been nothing but a blessing to work with this company and see how we have really grown over the past few years,” said Statesville Branch Manager Brian Stewart. “I’m privileged to work with great people and serve great customers. I hope these celebrations showed them just how much they are appreciated by CES, as we continue to grow strong bonds with each of them.”
