CES Opens New Southern California Branch

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Southern California is known for Hollywood, movies, and the hustle and bustle of young talents searching for their big breaks. It is less known, though, for a quieter area hidden nearby called the Inland Empire. The Inland Empire, located only 40 miles east of Los Angeles, has fresh air and wilderness trails with beautiful views of alpine scenery. It now has the latest City Electric Supply branch as well.

Branch Manager Michael Acosta joined CES in August when he started preparation for the opening of the Rancho Cucamonga branch. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry.

When Acosta started making plans for the new branch, he relied on customer input and territory knowledge to make sure his team had the best inventory and set-up possible.

“I knew the location needed to be Rancho Cucamonga, we just had to find the right building,” said Acosta. “Once we did, renovations began on the entire place. We had to be able to exceed the specific needs of our customers, and we worked together, and with many of our supplier partners, to do so.”

Acosta knows customers can buy their products anywhere, but he believes they will want to work with his team because of their extensive industry knowledge.

“Our knowledge of the Rancho Cucamonga and Inland Empire markets is outstanding,” stated Acosta. “We have been building relationships with customers and suppliers in the area for decades.”

Though there are many reasons why Acosta is excited to work for CES, he looked forward to rounding up some old colleagues and “getting the band back together” more than anything.

“I have personally worked with everyone on my team for over 10 years, and I’ve known three of my team members for over 20. Plus, our team has over 150 years of combined experience in the residential, commercial, and industrial markets,” said Acosta.

He is confident in, and proud of, his team. He is also excited to work for a company that entrusts him to open a new branch and make customer based decisions throughout the process.

“I would personally like to thank District Manager Brian Andringa and Vice President of Operations Dan Williams for their vision, commitment to growth, mentorship, and continued support,” stated Acosta.

Acosta knows his branch will be successful because of the way his team members can laugh, work, and communicate together.

“I couldn’t be happier with my team. Our diligence and our back-to-basics blocking and tackling mentality will take the branch a long way.”

Despite their wide-ranging knowledge and experience in the industry, Acosta and his team look forward to learning more every single day and seeing what they can accomplish.

“We love to compete and win, but we also have servanthood attitudes and are excited to build our foundation and future at this branch,” said Acosta. “We believe we will soon be the best distributor choice in Rancho Cucamonga and the surrounding Inland Empire area.”
