City Electric Company Raises Funds to Honor Soldiers

City Electric Company Raises Funds to Honor Soldiers

At the end of 2015, City Electric Company, Inc. announced that every quarter it would donate to a community organization that neighbors one of its ten locations.

For the first quarter of 2016, the company chose to honor U.S. service men and women by donating to the “North Country Honors the Mountain Monument” fund. This is a committee that is raising funds to build a monument honoring the sacrifice and service of the Soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), their family members, and the Fort Drum Civilian Workforce. Since the reactivation of the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum in February of 1985, the division has earned the reputation as the most deployed unit in the US Army.

To benefit this cause, City Electric ran a campaign with 3M products for the first quarter of 2016 in which ten percent of all 3M products sold from stock at all City Electric Company locations through March 31st was donated to the fund.

City Electric Company raised $5,000 towards the fund and is proud to have reached the Gold Sponsor status for such a well-deserved cause.
