City Electric Supply Continues to Add Locations in Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado Springs is the second-largest city in the state experiencing rapid growth. Two billion dollars are being invested into downtown areas, and the city is expected to surpass the Denver population by 2050. Landing at number nine for best-performing large cities in the U.S., other businesses want to be part of the growth. Electrical wholesale distributor City Electric Supply (CES) has opened two new store locations in Colorado Springs to support developments going on in the area.

“Colorado Springs is about an hour and a half away from Denver and our additional CES locations. The company is opening a Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Central location to assist one another with the growth in the city,” said District Manager Randy Birely. “Both are open and ready to go. It’s great to have them opening at the same time.”

Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Central will use their differing locations and sizes to their advantage for customers’ needs. Fifteen minutes away from each other, the Colorado Springs location is 5,000 square feet with an additional large pipe yard in the back. Colorado Springs Central will host a larger showroom with a branch size of 7,500 square feet. CES also has a Castle Rock location about 30 minutes away from these locations.

Colorado Springs Central

“Colorado Springs Central is right off the corner of I-25 and Garden of the Gods. It’s a very popular intersection, and we wanted to have that location right off the highway where it’s visible,” said Randy.

Both branch managers were able to put the finishing touches on their locations. From hiring additional team members, remodeling their showrooms, and installing warehouse and pipe yard shelving, the crews worked hard knocking down walls to create their workspaces while getting material in.

With the appointed branch managers comes plenty of experience. Colorado Springs Central Branch Manager Mike Mosch has been in the electrical industry since 1997 and has previous sales experience.

Colorado Springs Branch Manager Thom Daberko has industry experience that ranges from sales to working for an electrician and contracting for over 20 years in Florida. Wanting to be closer to family in Colorado, the CES branch network made this job opportunity and move across the country possible for Thom.

Colorado Springs

“I knew CES had branches here in Colorado near where my son lived. I told Randy if he ever needed someone to work at a Colorado location, I’d like to consider it,” said Thom. “Things worked out with Colorado Springs at the perfect time. I’ve been very fortunate to work for CES and receive amazing support from my previous district in Florida and now here, in South Colorado.”

The locations both celebrated their grand openings this past week, with customers and community members in attendance to support the stores.

CES is thrilled to be open in Colorado Springs. Make sure to stop by the locations and meet the teams!
