City Electric Supply Opens Another Location in Texas

MANSFIELD, Texas — City Electric Supply (CES) is thrilled to announce the opening of a new branch in Mansfield, Texas. It’s been a long time coming for a team that has helped build the branch from the ground up. Today, business is in full swing at CES Mansfield after nearly a year of renovation.

“Once we had the building, we immediately got started,” said Branch Manager Taylor Robertson. “It took months of demolitions, inspections, and getting approvals. Once we moved in, the team immediately started racking up and placing inventory on the shelves.”

And the team had the community in mind as they were ordering products.

“We made sure to select items that the local businesses need – that was and will always be our goal, to provide the local community with products and services they need to make their jobs easier,” said Taylor.

Now finished, this branch is just shy of 12,000 square feet total. The location has a showroom, offices, and an 11,000-square-foot warehouse.

“The coolest part of the branch opening experience is definitely being a part of it coming to life. The amount of work and sweat it takes to get a branch going motivates our team to make sure it is successful,” said Taylor.

Mansfield, located between Arlington and Kennedale, is about 25 minutes from Fort Worth. This CES branch will serve as a good middle ground for any customers heading north or south.

“CES Mansfield can deliver to a wide range of customers in a timely fashion. Many electricians local to Mansfield commute to nearby cities like Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington for work. They will be able to stop in and grab what they need for the day and head out,” said Taylor.

Taylor has been with CES for five years and was the previous branch manager of CES Kennedale. Promoted to branch manager just two years after beginning his journey with the company, Taylor got the opportunity to open up the new branch where he lives.

“Having great mentors has put me in the position I am in today,” said Taylor.

The rest of this Mansfield team has previous experience at other CES branches nearby, and the opening of CES Mansfield allowed for multiple promotions. Outside Salesman Cameron Dawson previously worked at CES Arlington and started his trade journey as an electrician. Now operations manager at CES Mansfield, Jacob Hughes worked at the counter at CES Kennedale and was able to come to this new location with Taylor.

“He was able to learn, and I was able to teach him while we got this Mansfield location put together,” said Taylor. “Our counter salesman, Robert Holloway, was previously a driver for CES Fort Worth, and he knows everyone on the rep side very well.”

“That’s our goal for all our branches. We want to hire people who want opportunities and to take the next step. We don’t just want to give jobs. We want to provide them with opportunities. It’s really nice to see that come to fruition here in Mansfield. These guys are a testament to that hard work,” said Regional Manager Phil McKinney.

“We’re driven and have the same goal in mind. We are eager to accomplish what our customers need,” said Taylor. “We will go the extra mile to help get a customer taken care of. We’re available 24/7, and if our customers have something come up, our branch will do whatever they need to assist them.”
