PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Concord Electric Supply, a City Electric Supply company, is proud to announce the opening of its first location in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. As one of two electrical wholesale distributors in the area, the new branch helps fill a critical gap in the region’s supply chain by providing local inventory, on-demand delivery, and personalized service.
“This is a big milestone for us,” said District Manager Anthony Bottino. “As the second wholesale distributor in town, we’re here to make an impact and help the community of Portsmouth. Contractors no longer need to plan ahead to get materials the next day. Now they have a partner who can deliver what they need — fast”.
The branch is led by Adam Martin, who brings nearly two decades of local industry experience to the new location. He began his career in the electrical supply industry at just 17 years old and steadily worked his way up. After professional challenges in 2020, he joined Concord Electric Supply and has continued serving many of the same loyal customers that he’s worked with for over 15 years. Now, at 32, he’s proud to manage his first branch—marking both a meaningful career milestone and a significant first for CES in the Rhode Island market.
Adam knows the team is ready to support the needs of the area. “I have a great team. Everyone is driven,” he said. “We go the extra mile for our customers every day, and we all do it with a positive attitude. They understand what it takes to run the store, and each one brings something valuable to the table. They’re a great group to work with.”
Martin isn’t the only one with industry experience. With a background as an electrical apprentice, Bottino brings valuable field experience to the branches he opens, with the CES Portsmouth RI branch being the seventh in his district. That firsthand knowledge has shaped his approach to leadership and helped him build a team that truly understands what contractors need on the job. “I know what we can offer them and how we can make their lives easier. If we can do that, we can make their business more profitable,” said Bottino.
The local community has responded positively. Every day, several customers stop by the new location to share their excitement about having another electrical wholesale distributor in town.
“We have a steady stream of customers every day,” added Martin. “Many are just saying thank you. Thank you for opening a branch here in Portsmouth.”
Bottino sees great potential ahead and is eager to show the community what CES is all about. “People are excited we’re here, and they haven’t even seen the best of what we have to offer yet,” he said. “I’m excited for them to discover that we have the autonomy to stock what they need and deliver on demand.”
