City Electric Supply Opens New Branch in Dulles

STERLING, Va. — City Electric Supply Dulles is located in what is known as the Dulles Technology Corridor, about 20 miles from Washington D.C. and in the shadow of Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia. The Atlantic, a major magazine publication, refers to Loudoun County as The Silicon Valley of the East. As much as 70% of the U.S. internet traffic flows through Northern Virginia, and the area is home to 60 facilities that cover 10 million square feet of the county.

With this branch’s proximity to lawmakers, tech giants, and a major airport, the branch is positioned to serve many different customers, including electrical contractors, commercial builders, local colleges, municipalities, international customers, and the federal government.

Branch Manager Scott Rohrbach has over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry and has specialized expertise working in the federal government to provide electrical supplies for government agencies.

“I’ve worked with the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, and embassies all over the globe, such as Saudi Arabia, Panama, Africa – you name it,” said Rohrbach.

“City Electric Supply continues to develop unique relationships as we move forward. We have a focused target account list, and we are getting involved with many different verticals,” said Rohrbach.

The Dulles team has the right balance of knowledge and experience from a multitude of local and international projects.

“My sales rep, Rico Loza, is very knowledgeable about the industry and has a knack for being a niche player. I have a background in logistics, federal, commercial, healthcare, education, and switchgear. It’s a good fit,” said Rohrbach.

Knowing the ins and outs of diverse sectors will allow the branch to expand their business and offer their expertise to the local market.

“My operations manager and counter person have intimate knowledge in the HVAC market. There are several HVAC and mechanical contractors we are targeting in the area as well as the local data centers and businesses that will need both electrical and HVAC/mechanical supplies. We can sell them anything and everything they need.”

The CES Dulles branch brings together expertise from different sectors and is prepared to take on new clients and challenges.

“When you talk about CES expanding, we are bringing a new dynamic to our group. CES hires people who are knowledgeable and bring something new to our company. We’re planning on evolving and getting bigger and better. We are building a wealth of knowledge by hiring people with different experiences and letting them do what they do best in their market. We as a branch, group, and company are going to accomplish great things.”
