City Electric Supply Opens New Branch in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY, Ok. — When City Electric Supply (CES) decided to open a branch in the Oklahoma City/Yukon area, the team began a determined search for the perfect building that would best serve the customers’ needs. But when that was proving to be a challenging task, the company decided to break ground on a new facility. The team began construction in August of 2021. After nearly a year, the store is complete with a team ready to serve the community.

“It was difficult to find something that had the space and height we were looking for. So, we decided to start from the ground up,” said Branch Manager Sean Williams. “We broke ground on the new building in August, and here we are.”

Williams and the team were thrilled to see their vision come to life. And with the rapidly growing Oklahoma City Metro area, the CES team was determined to put a branch where customers could receive better service.

“It’s on the west side of the metro area, where the town is growing,” Williams explained. “We are really in a prime location to serve whoever we can to the best of our ability.”

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Williams decided to explore the electrical industry since his father-in-law is a contractor.

“I’ve been in the business for almost 20 years,” Williams explained. “I’ve got my journeyman electric license. It lets your customers know that you have experience in the kind of work they are doing, we know what all that involves, and it lets them know that you’ve done that kind of work before.”

Not only does Williams have an impressive resume, but so does each member of his team here at Oklahoma City Yukon.

“Our outside salesman, Stephen Sharp, has been in the business for five years. He’s good with numbers and provides excellent customer service,” Williams added. “My operation manager, Evelina Calloway, keeps me on top of my tasks. And our counterperson has been with City Electric Supply for several years and has helped get our warehouse together.”

And while he’s enjoyed getting to build his branch and team, Williams says it’s the network of CES branch members that made the process even more gratifying.

“It’s been really fun to stay in touch with other branch managers in the area,” said Williams. “A little friendly competition never hurt anybody, but having their support and seeing them care about our success means a lot to myself and the team.”

Since CES is a family-owned business, the values at each branch are consistent with the founding principle of providing the best customer service possible, and this branch hopes to bring that to Oklahoma City/Yukon.

“We want to let the community know that they can stop by, that we offer great customer service, and that we want to be an asset to the existing CES brand,” said Williams.
