City Electric Supply Opens New Location Outside of Austin

BASTROP, Texas — City Electric Supply (CES) is thrilled to announce the opening of its Bastrop store. Located right outside of Austin, Texas, CES spent almost two years seeking the perfect location to open up a store to meet the needs of the area.

The team found their opportunity with a structure that was originally two spaces, with one wall in the middle separating the offices. After taking the wall out, CES saw the opportunity to make CES Bastrop a unique setup. Completing the renovation in nine months, CES Bastrop uses 6,000 square feet and highlights a lighting showroom in the branch.

“We got the middle wall knocked out and added office spaces, but looking at the floorplan, we saw the potential to do something new that we haven’t done in our area,” said District Manager John Moreno. “We decided to do a lighting showroom. With technology nowadays, there are many things you can do with lights rights now, and we wanted to have that on display in this location.”

Recently, CES Bastrop celebrated its grand opening with customers, vendors, and community members. For this team, opening CES Bastrop is sentimental for several reasons. CES Bastrop Branch Manager Hayden Woods has been a part of getting Bastrop open, and the grand opening celebration was a rewarding feeling.

“I was hired on as the branch manager while CES was completing renovations on the branch and getting everything set up. I attended the CES Temple grand opening before our location was officially open, and I was able to talk to customers, telling them about the opportunity to open another CES location,” said Woods. “It has been so exciting to watch these CES branches come to life. I was looking forward to our grand opening day since then.”

The celebrations were also special for others besides Woods.

“It’s the first CES branch that John has been part of opening, start to finish as a district manager. It’s amazing to see the growth of CES, and how we can provide these opportunities for others,” said Regional Manager Nate Jefferson. “Getting to see Hayden cut the ribbon to the new branch in Bastrop is a wonderful feeling, and I look forward to seeing everything that this branch will accomplish.”

Located on the southeast side of Austin, CES Bastrop is in proximity to several additional CES locations, including stores in Kyle, Hutto, and Pflugerville. Bastrop County is the 18th fastest-growing county in the state, next to one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Bastrop has an already established Business and Industrial Park, but has plans to expand the business park and add jobs inside Bastrop for its residents.

“Nate and I have been looking in the area for close to a year and a half, and we wanted to open a branch here to begin to fill out near our additional locations. There is a lot of building currently happening in Bastrop, so CES wanted to be ready and help assist customers,” said Moreno.

With land development occurring in the area, CES Bastrop hopes to show customers the opportunities with CES. CES Bastrop is thrilled to be open for business. If you haven’t yet, make sure to stop in and say hello!
