City Electric Supply Opens Newest Store in North Carolina

Newton, NC — Located in-between three prominent North Carolina cities is the town of Newton, where electrical wholesale distributor City Electric Supply recently opened its newest store. Undergoing a renovation that took nearly six months, this branch is the company’s 82^nd location in the state.

“Newton is positioned in the middle of a triangle formed by Asheville, Charlotte, and Winston-Salem. You can easily drive into the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering visitors plenty of attractions and activities to do,” said Branch Manager Zach Mullins. “Working in this area is great. Newton is growing rapidly, and with growth comes business opportunities. Everybody knows everybody here, and that small-town feel is really special and important to us.”

In an area with residential and commercial spots being built, in addition to the prominent furniture factories, CES Newton also has two other CES branch locations close by, ready to help customers get various materials and products they need.

CES has a location in Hickory and another in Lincolnton,” said Zach. “Which means we are able to assist customers in getting material to them as fast as possible.”

As a native of the area, Zach has been in the industry for nearly 10 years. The CES staff surrounding Zach at the Newton branch all come from other CES locations and have experience managing stock and inventory.

“My team has great experience in different aspects of the industry, from the counter to keeping track of inventory,” said Zach. “At CES, the employees get back what they put into the company, and my team is highly motivated, excited to learn, and they put effort in every single day.”

After a building demolition, CES Newton spent six months reconstructing the building to bring it up to code.

“A lot of time and hard work went into the stores remodel,” said Zach. “It makes opening up even more exciting, knowing that my team and I have been part of something from the very beginning.”

After hard work on a building renovation, the Newton team hosted a grand opening in style. From promotions and deals from industry-leading manufacturers to catered food, the grand opening will bring fun for everyone to participate.
