City Electric Supply Receives Stevie Award

DALLAS, Texas — City Electric Supply (CES) is proud to announce that it has been recognized in The 17th Annual International Business Awards. CES is the recipient of the Bronze Stevie® Awards for Company of the Year in the Materials & Construction category. The Dallas-based wholesale distributor was one of 3,800 organizations of all sizes and industries to apply. CES was recognized for its achievements since the beginning of 2019. Since then, the company has opened its 500th branch in the U.S., its 1,000th branch worldwide, and its manufacturing and fulfillment center, TAMCO, which combines all six of the company’s manufacturing brands under one roof.

“CES has established itself as a leader in the U.S. and globally,” one judge said.

“Very impressive with the growth of the company, the 8th largest, is commendable, electricity is the necessity of life today, doing a great job with branches across globe,” another judge stated.

Stevie® Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from July through early September. The submissions included a wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Startup of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others.

“Despite the unprecedented impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on organizations and working people worldwide, the number and quality of nominations we received in this year’s International Business Awards attests to the continued outstanding performance of many organizations. The commitment we’ve seen through these nominations to maintaining the success, health, and safety of employees, customers, and communities is truly impressive,” said Stevie® Awards president Maggie Gallagher.

The virtual ceremony took place in early December as the COVID-19 pandemic prevented winners from receiving their awards on stage during a traditional gala IBA banquet.

The International Business Awards is the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide — public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small — are eligible to submit nominations. The 2020 IBAs received entries from organizations in 63 nations and territories.
