City Electric Supply to Relocate Headquarters

DALLAS — City Electric Supply (CES) will be moving its headquarters to soon-to-be-renovated 400 Record, formerly known as the Belo Building, in downtown Dallas. The tower is owned by President and CEO of City Electric Supply, Thomas Hartland-Mackie. The electrical supplier has officed in Uptown for nearly a decade.

CES will occupy five floors of the iconic, 235,000-square-foot office tower and will begin the transition this summer. Construction on those floors is underway and will be completed in July, when renovations will begin on the lobby, amenity floor and restaurant.

“With the exciting changes happening Downtown, and given the building’s potential to help elevate the area, it seemed natural to house CES on-site and in the heart of Dallas,” said Hartland-Mackie. “We are excited to be on-property when the larger renovations begin, and to office in the same building that we own. It’s important to me that I can oversee the progress and ensure that we carry out our promise at the building for other tenants.”

“The building renovations will transform the property, creating a more welcoming and modern aesthetic while still maintaining the building’s character,” added Hartland-Mackie.
