BEAUMONT, Texas — Coburn Supply Company proudly announces the promotion of long-time employee, Kevin J. King, to the role of Director of Sales. King began his work in the Coburn’s waterworks division in 1994 and has since worked his way up the ranks to Division Manager in 2010 and now, Director of Sales.
In this new role, King will continue to grow partnerships in the marketplace, cultivate a strong workforce, and work with buyers and division managers to drive new ideas forward to continue to grow Coburn’s legacy. “I’ve been in this industry since 1983 and enjoy helping people solve problems,” says King. “As we celebrate 90 years of customer service in 2024, I look forward to working together for a common goal, applying my industry knowledge, and continuing to serve and help more people.”
Patrick Maloney, Coburn’s president, echoes Kevin’s sentiments. “We are happy to have such a tenured employee step into this role. His industry knowledge will help us grow our business segments,” he says. “We look forward to his fresh ideas on how Coburn’s can become more efficient with our internal processes, as well as continuing to deliver the high levels of service our customers demand.”
King will continue to work in Denham Springs, La., as his successor Darin Coker is promoted to Waterworks Division Manager. Coker has served Coburn’s for five years and has built strong working relationships with co-workers and vendors, many of whom he now calls friends. “I look forward to working directly with our Waterworks team to better understand their roles, navigate market challenges, and explore growth opportunities together,” notes Coker. His past experiences working with premium brands and utility technology service companies makes him an asset to the Waterworks division as he continues to build strategic partnerships with key vendors to strengthen the Coburn’s brand. He continues, “It’s my long-term vision to continue to grow the Waterworks division through the advancement of products and services for our customers, allowing technology to improve the customer experience and bring our level of service to an all-time high.”
These leadership changes will not only allow for the professional development and personal growth of both of these valued employees but will also help to see that Coburn’s continues to excel as the right choice for its customers as it has been since 1934.
