Coburn’s Celebrates 85 Years

Coburn’s Celebrates 85 Years

BEAUMONT, TX Coburn Supply Company, a family-owned distributor of plumbing, electrical, waterworks, and HVAC products and services, recently celebrated its 85th anniversary with an all-employee event at the New Orleans Marriott.

The weekend-long event’s theme was “In Good Spirits,” a nod to the post-prohibition era in which Coburn’s was established. Both the Coburn’s 1934 Ford Truck and 2019 NASCAR, provided by State Water Heater, were on display for event revelers. Over 2,200 guests, including employees, vendor partners, rep agencies and other special patrons dined on local cuisine, New Orleans sno-balls, and they were entertained by the local-favorite, The Chee-Weez.

High-achieving branches were honored with the prestigious Golden and Silver Eagle sales awards, and Silver Club honors were given to employees who have been with the company for 25 years or more. Coburn’s also proudly launched a new annual award called the Spirit Award. This honors Coburn’s employees who embody and live out the company’s values. Patrick, Michael and Christy Maloney — the Director of Sales, Vice President of Marketing, and Vice President & Director of Finance and Strategic Planning, respectively — surprised Coburn’s President Don Maloney and Executive Vice President A.J. Maloney, Jr. with the awards. Don Maloney is also celebrating 50 years with the company.

Coburn’s also debuted their new brand film, “The Stories & Spirit of Coburn Supply Company.” The video showcases Coburn’s employees from various positions, locations and divisions who shared their personal heartfelt Coburn’s stories. Each employee emphasized ways that Coburn’s values of family, honesty and stability — along with the company’s brand promise of dependability — have positively affected them.

“We would like to take a moment to thank our employees, vendors, event sponsors, and families for supporting all of us over the years,” said Don Maloney. “We are extremely proud of all that we have been able to accomplish and are honored to be able to continue to serve our communities for the next 85 years!”

As Coburn’s continues to celebrate its 85th anniversary, the family business shares the same vision it started with and has never lost sight of the main reason the company exists: its customers.
