Codale Earns Minority Business of the Year

Las Vegas and Salt Lake City – Codale Energy Services & Supply (ESS) of Las Vegas, an affiliate company of Codale Electric Supply, headquartered in Salt Lake City, was named “Minority Business of the Year” by the Nevada Minority Supplier Development Council (NvMSDC).

Recognized for its “outstanding business endeavors,” Codale ESS was nominated by local utility NV Energy, and beat out five other companies for the award.  The award was presented, among others, at NvMSDC’s 18th Annual Excellence Awards Ceremony, on May 18.

“We are grateful to be recognized by NvMSDC for our efforts, and we hope to remain an example of hard work and great service for years to come,” said Codale ESS president Oscar Aliaga.

Formerly a branch of Salt Lake City-based Codale Electric Supply since 2004, Codale ESS became its own entity in 2010 under the direction of Aliaga, who was born in Peru and moved to the United States with his family at age four.

“We at Codale recognized a unique opportunity in the Las Vegas area to focus on energy-efficient products, and also to participate in building a more diverse marketplace within the industries we serve,” said Aliaga, who also received an individual award for community volunteer of the year for the significant hours of service that he and his company gave in helping NvMSDC.

Codale ESS serves residential, commercial and industrial markets, among others, and is known for their sizeable inventory, including the latest energy-efficient technologies, as well as their superior product expertise and customer service.
