Cooper Electric Gets Muddy at St. Jude’s Warrior Dash

MONROE, N.J. — Cooper Electric Supply associates participated in a “5K Warrior Dash” obstacle event in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, to support St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital charity. Warrior Dash participants conquered 12 world-class obstacles including bounding over fire and trudging through mud over a 5K distance.

Cooper’s team raised $15,000, and the Warrior Dash Pennsylvania group contributed $75,000 to the $11.4 million raised to date for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

“It’s such a wonderful cause and we were honored to be a part of it. To have the opportunity to help others while doing something fun and challenging with my peers was an amazing feeling,” said Tom Brady, Vice President of Sales at Cooper Electric.

Cooper participates in the Warrior Dash because St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. On their website they mention “help our little warriors in their big fight”… hence the claim of Warrior Dash! The associates at Cooper are warriors for a day helping little warriors survive life… Unlike other hospitals, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food because of the donations St. Jude’s receives from the public. The Cooper team felt so humbled to be part of helping children survive catastrophic diseases. The research they can afford to do is amazing to increase survival rates in children.

The Warrior Dash is the world’s largest obstacle race series and is held on more than 30 challenging and rugged terrains across the world. Cooper Electric looks forward to returning in 2016 to offer another memorable event for both new and returning Warriors from the organization.
