Crescent Electric Appoints Jeff Buxton as Vice President of Supply Chain

EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. – Crescent Electric Supply Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Buxton to the position of Vice President of Supply Chain. In this new role, Buxton will have responsibility for company-wide purchasing, inventory management, logistics and operations.

Buxton is a highly accomplished supply chain executive that has many successes in leading logistic operations, budget management and financial analysis for Fortune 500 companies. He is a trusted advisor and expert in supply chain inventory management, distribution, warehousing and operations.

“Jeff brings strong, results-driven leadership to the company with a proven track record of implementing customer service, profitability, [and] working capital efficiency through supply chain excellence,” states Derek Schmidt, Crescent Electric Chief Financial Officer.

As a respected leader, Buxton will be a great asset to the Crescent Electric leadership team. Jeff graduated from Wittenberg University with a BA in Business Administration, received his MBA in Operations from Lewis University, and attended Northwestern’s Executive Management Institute, Kellogg School of Management where he received a certificate of Professional Achievement. Jeff will be relocating to Dubuque, Iowa.

Crescent Electric Appoints Deborah (Deb) Swambar as Chief Human Resource Officer

Crescent Electric Supply Company has appointed Deborah (Deb) Swambar to the position of Chief Human Resource Officer. In her new role, Swambar will build and lead Crescent’s human capital plan, bringing strategic clarity and functional alignment across the company.

Swambar is an accomplished, national leader with passion and experience in developing leadership teams for supply chain, marketing, operations, and customer service departments. She possesses a unique blend of experiences in both private and publicly traded organizations, where she helped find efficiencies to lower costs, as well as find, retain and grow top tier talent.

As an accomplished and experienced leader, Swambar will drive the evolution of Crescent’s organizational growth necessary to drive Crescent’s competitive advantage. Deborah graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Labor Relations and BS in Personnel, and completed MBA course work at Southern Illinois University. Deborah also completed the International Business Consortium program at Thunderbird University. She will relocate to Dubuque, IA with her husband Bill in the near future.
