Crescent Electric Supply Endorses NEMRA POS Standards

CARMEL, Indiana — Crescent Electric Supply has endorsed NEMRA’s POS/POT Minimum Reporting Standards.

Founded in 1919, Crescent Electric has more than 130 locations, inclusive of those branded as Crescent, Lowe Electric, Stoneway Supply, and Womack Electric. Known for its Midwestern family values, the company strives to support its local markets and values local relationships.

According to Debra McCashin, National Vice President of Supplier Partnerships, Crescent has provided POS information to many of its manufacturers for a while. McCashin stated, We recognize the importance of POS data for our rep community. It is critical to our success as we stand up DCs across the country.”

Crescent currently has three distribution centers supporting its branch network.

Jim Johnson, President of NEMRA, commented,On behalf of the NEMRA independent manufacturer representatives, we appreciate Crescent’s endorsement. As companies grow through acquisition and by transitioning to an RDC model to serve their branches and customers more efficiently, the importance of POS reporting becomes more vital in ensuring independent manufacturer representatives are compensated for providing local support. Every distributor that does business with manufacturers in multiple territories can benefit by adopting the NEMRA POS standards. Thank you to Crescent for recognizing the opportunity and supporting NEMRA representatives.
