Dakota Supply Group (DSG) of Fargo, N.D. has acquired W.A. Roosevelt, a Wisconsin-based distributor of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration products.
The acquisition will add Wisconsin and northern Michigan to the areas DSG will now be able to reach, in addition to Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and portions of Iowa, Wyoming and Montana, which DSG currently serves.
According to both companies, customers and manufacturers can expect “business as usual” at W.A. Roosevelt; the company will keep its name and its nearly 100 employees.
“Both companies share an intense commitment to the long-term success of our partners, whether they are customers or manufacturers,” said Tom Rosendahl, president of DSG. “This move creates a company that is greater than the sum of its parts.”
“When we first started talking about this potential partnership, it was obvious immediately that our core values and passionate focus on customers and employees were a great match,” said Todd Eber, president of W.A. Roosevelt. “While this wasn’t something I was actively looking for, there’s simply an incredible amount of synergy created by bringing our two companies together that will be great for our customers, manufacturing partners and employees.”
Employee-owned DSG has 16 locations throughout Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota along with W.A. Roosevelt’s five locations in Wisconsin.
