Dan Willison of USESI Passes Away

tED magazine today learned of the loss of Dan Willison, a key member of the electrical industry. Below is the announcement from the company. We will add more details here as we receive them.

Willison was Vice President of Operations & Vendor Relations as USESI.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dan Willison, a long-time friend and colleague. I met Dan in 1996 and had countless interactions with him during our tenure at CED. During his time at CED, Dan assumed ever increasing responsibilities that culminated with running a large, successful profit center in Ohio.

When I was presented with the opportunity to run U.S. Electrical Services in 2011, Dan was my first hire. Not knowing what I was getting into, I just told Dan “You got operations.” From that point on, Dan provided invaluable leadership and made every effort to take USESI to an entirely new level operationally, doing anything that was asked of him and many things that weren’t. Dan was a reliable resource familiar with all aspects of running the business and he maintained incomparable relationships with vendors and manufacturers. His impact on our company will be felt for years. Dan was a good friend of mine and will be missed by us all. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Randy Eddy, President and CEO, U.S. Electrical Services
