Klein Tools started out as a tool repair company in the 1860s that gained traction due to word of mouth. More than 160 years later, it is now a brand recognized by customers around the world.
Greg Palese, the Vice-President of Marketing for Klein Tools, joined the DistributED with tED magazine podcast to talk about how the company started, survived the Great Chicago Fire, and helped American soldiers during both World Wars, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
He also talked about how customers have grown to love the brand with tattoos, the names of their children, and even a Klein Tools wedding cake.
Plus, Palese described the effort Klein is making for the future with a way to recognize high school graduates who decide to enter trade school.
