DistributED: Prudence Thompson Talks Hurricanes, Job Market

It’s been a difficult and busy month for Prudence Thompson.

First, she was a victim of Hurricane Helene, where Thompson and her family were awakened in the middle of the night to four feet of water in their home. They scrambled to safety, only to be hit weeks later by Hurricane Milton, which brought almost 8 feet of water inside her home, not to mention the widespread wind damage.

While Thompson is working through the insurance and permitting processes, she is also keeping her extremely active electrical distribution recruiting company operating.

Despite having difficulty with her WiFi, Thompson took a few minutes out of her busy schedule to visit the DistributED with tED magazine podcast to talk about the hurricane recovery process and her work with Wholesale Recruiting Solutions, which is facing the prospect of filling dozens of positions for companies in our supply chain.

The DistributED with tED magazine podcast can be watched on tedmag.com, and is also available on all podcast players.
