DistributED: Siemens and Warshauer Discuss Workforce Development

Our supply chain has been working tirelessly on Workforce Development programs, including NAED’s newly launched initiative to help all members recruit, attract, hire, and retain the best talent available.

For more than 25 years, Warshauer Electric Supply has been working on the same initiative by creating specific classes to keep contractors and distributors trained on new products and updated codes. Meanwhile, Siemens has launched “Siemens Educates America”, a high-tech initiative that uses 3D models, Extended Reality (XR), Spacial Computing, and Artificial Intelligence to train for a “future-ready workforce”.

Since the two companies are long-time partners, it made sense to have them work together on a successful training program in New Jersey.

Jim Dunn, President of Warshauer Electric Supply, and Maddie Everhardt, Business Development, Construction Technologies at Siemens joined the DistributED with tED magazine podcast to talk about how partnerships strengthen training, the success of their programs, and the value of training that meets the needs of the next generation of our workforce.
