Since 1940, Dominion Electric Supply has provided both professionals and homeowners in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area with electrical supplies and lighting fixtures, and the product knowledge and design expertise to ensure that their projects––large or small––are a success.
Ours is a company that is built on relationships. It is an ongoing pleasure to continue to grow with the companies and homeowners we service. We value these relationships, and look forward to developing new ones that are equally as strong. We understand that to deliver quality, we must engage with our customers to truly acquaint ourselves with their needs, their desires––and their challenges––whether it’s for a $10,000,000 new construction project, or a lighting solution for that dark corner of your living room. We take the time to assist, counsel, and collaborate with you on projects of tremendous scope, as well as small lighting accents to spruce up your house. We know that every one of your projects, no matter the size, is important to you, whether you’re coming to us as a professional or a homeowner. And it’s important to us that you’re delighted with the results we can help you achieve, and how we treated you along the way. When we say, “this is a relationships business,” we really mean it.
With nine locations, including three showrooms, Dominion Electric Supply is a much different company than it was when we began. Things have changed, but things have also stayed the same: we’re still family-owned, independent, and locally operated, and we intend to keep it that way. We believe that it’s because we’ve remained independent and locally operated that we’re really good at nurturing our relationships. And, while our product lines and service offerings have evolved over the decades, our values haven’t budged: quality products are important, but it’s people that really count.
Think we’re exaggerating? Ask our employees. Many of them have been with us for 10, 20, 30 . . . even 50 years. Not only do our customers and vendors receive the utmost respect––our employees do, too. Their dedication, depth of knowledge and experience, and continued enthusiasm for new trends and technologies, is not something we take lightly. It’s why we’ve been around for 75 years, and it’s why we’re positioned to be around for 75 more. To us, putting people first is just obvious.
Over the last 75 years, Dominion Electric Supply has evolved with our community. And when it comes to remaining a part of our community, we’re in it for the long haul––at least another 75 years.
