DSG Manager Receives Honor

LA CROSSE, Wisc. — Dakota Supply Group’s Karl Wrobel, branch manager of the company’s La Crosse office, was recently acknowledged as one of the “Top 40 under 40” in the HVAC/R industry by The News, a weekly industrial periodical. This list includes 40 individuals (who are under 40 years of age) who have exhibited outstanding leadership in driving the HVAC/R industry into the future.

Wrobel got his start in the HVAC/R industry working with an HVAC and plumbing contractor before starting his own Texas-based HVAC contracting business in 2001. He then joined DSG (known as W.A. Roosevelt at the time) as a sales manager in 2008, and became branch manager of the La Crosse location in 2014, where he still serves today. Wrobel has been a member of the advisory board at Wisconsin Technical College and is an advocate for the HVAC/R industry through the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE) and through his support of various contractor training and development programs. In addition, he was named one of The Electrical Distributor (tED) Magazine’s “30 Under 35: Rising Stars of the Electrical Industry” in 2014.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition,” says Wrobel. “I am extremely passionate about all of the industries that DSG serves, but HVAC/R always holds a special place for me. From my time as an independent contractor to my current position as a manager and an employee-owner of DSG, my goal has always been the shared success of everyone involved. That’s why we focus so much on training, resources and solutions. When HVAC/R contractors are able to grow and profit, it benefits us all.”

DSG is one of the Midwest’s leading distributors of innovative products and services for the HVAC/R plumbing, electrical, utility, communications, waterworks and automation trades. Headquartered in Fargo, ND, DSG is a 100-percent employee-owned company with nearly 700 employee-owners.
