Eaton Appoints Hydraulics Group President, VanArsdale to Retire

CLEVELAND—Power management company Eaton today announced Curtis J. Hutchins has been appointed president of Eaton’s Hydraulics Group, effective Aug. 1. He succeeds William R. VanArsdale, who will retire Aug. 1.

Hutchins will report to Craig Arnold, vice chairman and chief operating officer, Industrial Sector, until Sept. 1. Arnold will become Eaton’s president and chief operating officer on Sept. 1 and then Hutchins will report to Uday Yadav, who becomes the Industrial Sector’s chief operating officer.

“Curt has a wealth of experience from his role leading Eaton’s Asia Pacific region and in leadership positions within our Truck group and prior to Eaton,” said Arnold. “He is a talented leader and we are looking forward to his contributions to our Hydraulics business.”

Arnold added: “On behalf of the company, I want to thank Bill for his outstanding contributions to Eaton during 27 years of service. He has been a dynamic member of my leadership team. We appreciate his many accomplishments and wish him the very best in his retirement.”

Hutchins has been president of Eaton’s Asia Pacific region since 2009. He was previously president of Eaton’s Heavy Duty Transmission business. He joined Eaton in 2003 and had multiple senior leadership positions within Eaton’s Truck business, including vice president and general manager of the Clutch Division and general manager in the Heavy Duty Transmission Division. Prior to joining Eaton, Hutchins held various positions in the aerospace and consumer products industries.
