Eaton Appoints New Head of Channels for the Middle East

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Eaton recently announced the appointment of Karim Refas to the position of Head of Channels, Middle East, Electrical Sector. In his new position, Karim will be responsible for the development of Eaton’s channel businesses across the Middle East region.

Speaking about the appointment, Frank Ackland, general manager, Middle East said, “Having Karim on-board with us here in the Middle East is an excellent boost for our dedication to our partners and the further engagement we look to have with them in 2016. Having worked in various roles in Eaton over the past 11 years, he brings a wealth of experience that we value.”

Before taking up this position, Karim spent eleven years working with Eaton in Europe, where he held a variety of regional channel management positions. In his most recent role, Karim was Channel Manager of Eaton’s IT Business in EMEA, where he oversaw the delivery of Eaton’s Power Management solutions for Datacenters to hundreds of ICT Distributors and an extensive channel partner base in the region.

Commenting on his appointment, Karim said, “The Middle East is an exciting region to be working in with Eaton, and the rate at which the company is growing has been significant over recent years. After working with Eaton in Europe for eleven years, I look forward to bringing this experience to the team and our range of partners in order to ensure the right support is in place as we move to increase Eaton’s strength in the channels.”

Karim holds a Masters in Management and Marketing from the SKEMA Graduate School of Management in Euralille, France.
