Eaton Increases Dividend by 12.2 Percent

The Board of Directors of power management company Eaton (NYSE:ETN) declared a 12.2 percent increase in the quarterly dividend from $0.49 per ordinary share to $0.55 per ordinary share on February 25, 2015. The dividend is payable March 20, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 9, 2015. For U.S. tax purposes, Eaton estimates that all of the 2015 dividend will be treated as a return of capital to shareholders, to the extent of the shareholder’s tax basis in the shares. Eaton has paid dividends on its common shares every year since 1923.
