Eaton names new president of Electrical Sector, Americas Region

Revathi Advaithi has been named the president of the Electrical Sector, Americas Region at Eaton Corporation, effective April 1.

According to an Eaton news release, “Advaithi will be responsible for the company’s electrical business in North, South and Central America. She will oversee manufacturing operations, sales, marketing, technology and product development for 12 divisions and $4.2 billion in revenues.”

Advaithi has been with Eaton since 1995. She began her career with the company as a manufacturing supervisor at the hydraulics facility in Shawnee, Okla. as part of the Global Leadership Development Program. She worked in several operational positions and then took on the role of plant manager at the hydraulics facility in Havant, England. Advaithi left Eaton in 2002 and joined Honeywell. In 2006, she was named vice president and general manager of Honeywell’s Field Solutions business. Advaithi returned to Eaton in 2008 as vice president and general manager for the Electrical Components Division and has served as president of the Asia Pacific, Electrical Sector since 2009.

“Revathi’s global perspective and considerable knowledge of electrical business operations, coupled with her strong leadership capabilities, will help her to lead our continuing growth strategy in the Americas,” said Thomas S. Gross, vice chairman, chief operating officer, Eaton Corporation. “She has consistently demonstrated an outstanding ability to lead a large, dynamic and successful organization.”
