CLEVELAND — Intelligent power management company Eaton and the Cleveland Browns today announced a multi-year collaboration focused on supporting student success, encouraging school attendance and creating opportunities for students to engage with STEM education and explore future careers.
As a pillar partner of the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network, Eaton will support efforts to reduce chronic absenteeism and help students connect classroom learning with future opportunities. The collaboration will provide youth-focused programming for students across 116 school district partners in Northeast Ohio. The Stay in the Game! Attendance Network statewide movement was launched in 2019 by the Cleveland Browns Foundation, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and Harvard’s Proving Ground and is now managed by Battelle.
Through Eaton’s Stay in the Game! Attendance Network role, the company will create experiences that emphasize the importance of being present in the classroom, support student engagement and connect learning to real-world opportunities. Through education programming, students will have opportunities to learn more about the people, technologies and careers that shape their communities and the world.
“Supporting education and helping prepare the next generation for careers in STEM has long been part of Eaton’s commitment to the communities where we live and work,” said Amy Pausche, director, community affairs at Eaton. “Through our collaboration with the Cleveland Browns Foundation and Stay in the Game! Attendance Network, we’re creating new ways for students to connect learning to real-world opportunities while highlighting the people, technologies and skills that drive Northeast Ohio and the world forward.”
“Attendance is the foundation for student success, and it’s at the heart of everything we do at Stay in the Game!” said Renee Harvey, vice president of Community Impact and Foundation for the Cleveland Browns. “Together with Eaton, we’re creating meaningful experiences that encourage consistent attendance and achievement, inspire future possibilities and support students and families throughout Northeast Ohio.”
The collaboration will also connect community impact with innovation through a new “From the Grid to the Gridiron” campaign. This initiative will highlight how the people, technologies and careers behind the systems that power everyday life connect to classrooms, communities and game day.
In addition to its community and education work, Eaton will engage with Browns fans through select in-stadium and year-round experiences. Fans will see the collaboration come to life during the Browns’ preseason game against the New England Patriots at Huntington Bank Field on Aug. 27. Eaton’s logo will also appear on Browns practice jerseys.
Additional fan experiences and community programs will reflect three themes: powering game day, powering communities and Cleveland roots.
