Edward L. Bathe, of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at the age of 77 after a battle with cancer.
Edward (Ed) Bathe joined the Bathe Electric Company in 1958 as a purchasing agent. The company was founded in 1942 by his father, Martin Bathe Sr., and continues to be a family-owned and run business, currently managed by Edwin’s son and current president, Jeff Bathe.
Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Bathe Electric after more than 47 years as an electrical contractor. He loved golfing, and going to the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball games. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, and in past years bowling and going to Gulf Shores. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Bathe is succeeded by his wife, Delores “Dee” Bathe, children Jeff and Laura, and grandchildren.
