Electri-Flex Celebrates 60 Years of Leadership

A third generation family-owned business, Electri-Flex Company announces its 60th Anniversary. Electri-Flex takes pride in the relationships they have established throughout the years with their customers, distributors, suppliers, associates and employees. This philosophy was best stated by H.W. “West” Kinander, Jr., former president and co-owner in 1991. “Quality, service and loyalty to one’s business partners have been the theme since our company began. Those standards will continue to be the benchmark by which our company will be judged. You have my word.”

In 1955, Harold Kinander, Sr. incorporated Electri-Flex and founded the Liquatite® brand. In 1956, the Company moved to a 4,000 square foot woodworking shop and then the next year to a 21,000 square foot facility. Success in those days can be traced to the Company’s philosophy to market its Liquatite brand exclusively through authorized electrical distributors. Harold’s two sons, Bruce and Harold West Kinander, Jr., guided the Company through the 80s and 90s; and the third generation management team, Jason, Blue and Bruce Kinander, Jr., have successfully brought us into the new century. “The true essence of what makes Electri-Flex so successful is the family-like atmosphere in our work place that we enjoy on a daily basis,” said Blue Kinander Kelly, Vice President. “We all have the same goal in mind, which is to produce and make the best conduit in the world, and we all are passionate about that pursuit. So as a family, we pursue that together.”

Growth continues for the Company as it recently purchased a 52,000 square foot facility located in Roselle, IL. The building will house approximately half of their current production. This expansion is a symbol of the company’s history, success and future, and will give Electri-Flex the opportunity to increase production output by 50-60%. “This means a lot to Electri-Flex and its ability to remain a top provider of electrical conduit. It allows us to build on our reputation of worldwide quality, service, and product innovation,” said Jason Kinander, CEO. In addition to the capacity and functionality of the building, it will allow for a more focused manufacturing process in the existing building. “It’s an important milestone in our company’s history, and a significant step in meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers,” added Jason.
