Electri-Flex Owners Inducted into Chicago Electric Association Hall of Fame

Two of the Electri-Flex company’s owners, Jason W. Kinander, CEO, and Blue Kinander Kelly, Vice President, were honored and inducted in the 2017 Chicago Electric Association Hall of Fame. According to the Chicago Electric Association, “These awards recognize individuals whose innovation, hard work, dedication, and vision have fostered growth within the electrical industry.” This would be the sixth Hall of Fame induction for Electri-Flex Company. Previous inductees include their grandfather, Harold Kinander, Sr., father, West Kinander, Jr., uncle, Bruce A. Kinander, and current President, Ed Marinelli.

Jason’s nomination into the Hall of Fame is the result of thoughtful leadership as current CEO, carrying over 30 years’ experience with the Company. “Jason has always possessed the talent, fortitude and vision to make sure we grow as a business. He leads with confidence and tremendous compassion. Daily, I am proud to be shoulder to shoulder with him at Electri-Flex Company,” states Blue Kinander Kelly. Blue and Jason are third generation owners of a family owned and operated business, originally founded in 1955 by their grandfather, Harold Kinander, Sr.

Blue’s induction into the Hall of Fame comes on the heels of more than 25 years with the company. She also serves as a Board of Director for the Electric Association and the Chicagoland Electric Association Education Foundation. “What’s unique about the Chicagoland electrical industry are the relationships that have been forged over the years,” stated Blue.

“[Blue is] an inspiration to me,” said Jason. “We’re both on the same page in that our goal is not just to make the business successful but also to give back to the larger community. We are very supportive of each other – not only in our relationship to the business but also in our lives outside of the business.”
