Epicor Appoints New Chief Technology Officer, New Regional VP

AUSTIN, Texas and SYDNEY, Australia — Epicor Software Corporation announced the appointment of Himanshu Palsule as executive vice president and chief technology officer of Epicor, effective immediately. The company also announced that Vince Randall has been named regional vice president for Epicor ANZ (Australia and New Zealand), effective immediately.

Reporting directly to Epicor President and CEO Joe Cowan, Palsule is responsible for the delivery of all Epicor solutions on a global basis, including product design, engineering, technology and quality, as well as development operations.

“Our research and development organization is a critical component in the delivery of innovative solutions and services – Himanshu is a proven leader and a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our cloud-first development initiatives,” said Cowan. “I’m confident Himanshu will drive his team to maintain its focus on delivering high quality products, while keeping an eye on accelerating future innovation to keep our customers a step ahead of their competition.”

With this change, former Epicor CTO Jeff Kissling moves into the role of Chief Scientist, where his focus will be on research and technology innovation. With complementary focus, Kissling and Palsule will align to ensure Epicor continues to deliver innovative business software solutions that not only meet the needs of its customers today, but also gives them a platform to support future business growth.

“I’m excited to lead the product development organization at Epicor — it’s a unique environment where customer focused innovation happens at a very grassroots level across the organization,” said Palsule. “Whether it’s innovation within our on-premises, cloud, mobile, or social platforms, the focus is always on delivering ease of use and instant value to the customer.  With a globally distributed development team — from Moscow and Monterrey, to India, the U.S. and several other regions — we’re able to attract global talent with local skillsets. I’m looking forward to building on and accelerating the continuous innovation that’s already happening at Epicor.”

Palsule has more than 30 years of experience in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software industry, running globally distributed product organizations focused on driving innovation and growth.  Prior to Epicor, Palsule was CTO and head of strategy at Sage Software, a leading provider of global accounting and ERP solutions, and has leadership experience from companies such as Open Systems International, Man-Trak and HCL. Palsule holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of Saint Thomas, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology.

On the other side of the world, Vince Randall has been named regional vice president for Epicor ANZ, effective immediately. In this role, Randall will focus on growing Epicor enterprise software business, overseeing sales and operations in Australia and New Zealand, including the growing partner network. Randall will be based in the company’s office in Sydney.

“Randall joins us from NetSuite where he held senior roles for over eight years, most recently as sales director ANZ,” said Sabby Gill, executive vice president for Epicor International. “He brings a wealth of experience not only in in enterprise software sales but also in cloud solutions. This is to our advantage as we continue working on transforming our organization and realizing our cloud-first strategy in the Asia Pacific region. The cloud strategy, and our determination to grow by focusing on helping our customers grow, is what attracted Randall to join Epicor.”

“The ANZ market is demanding a combination of cloud and industry best practice. This is a key strength for Epicor and a reason why I’m excited about joining the company at such a transformational stage,” said Randall. “In addition, Epicor has great people with the right skillset that understand how to partner with customers to help them grow their businesses. I’m looking forward to meeting every team member and understanding how we can continue to build on this competitive advantage. I’m confident that the ANZ team has the expertise and the experience to become even more successful.”
