French Gerleman Receives Two Industry Awards

ST. LOUIS — French Gerleman has recently been honored with two prestigious industry awards: The Bradley Cup and the MOSEIA Partner of the Year Award. These awards recognize French Gerleman as a leader in the industry and reflect French Gerleman’s commitment to excellence in all areas of the company. The distributor is honored to achieve these milestones and grateful for customers who have helped it grow as a company and enabled French Gerleman to become an industry leader.

The Bradley Cup Award
The Bradley Cup bears the name of Allen-Bradley, founder Lynde Bradley. It is awarded to the distributor that has achieved the highest composite score across a group of metrics in sales and operational excellence during the Rockwell fiscal year. French Gerleman was named from among distributors across North America.

“The Bradley Cup is the pinnacle of recognition for a Rockwell Automation distributor,” said Mike Stanfill, president of French Gerleman. “We’re honored to be among this group of peer companies, so to bring home the award is particularly satisfying.”

The scoring is based on a 100-point system, divided between revenue performance, market-making capability, operations capability, and policy compliance. It takes a great deal of planning and teamwork to create and execute the annual plan, and Rockwell Automation judges the companies on a consistent track record of exceptional performance over a three-year period.

“We are at such a pivotal time in US manufacturing,” explained Stanfill. “Our customers are seeing skills depart to retirement and there is a growing shortage of qualified production employees, yet there is as much pressure as ever to deliver increased shareholder equity – in a clean, energy-efficient, and ethical manner. MOSEIA Partner of the Year Award
The MOSEIA (Missouri Solar Energy Industries Association) Partner of the Year award recognizes companies or individuals who have gone above and beyond to support the solar industry in Missouri. French Gerleman supported MOSEIA by coordinating vendor training through seminars and webinars throughout the year. French Gerleman also hosted the MOSEIA Annual Conference at the company’s headquarters in St. Louis. French Gerleman’s Customer Center offered training rooms to host vendors and guest speakers who came to provide education on solar policy and best practices.

“It has been exciting to be a part of MOSEIA over the past several years,” said Stanfill. “You’d be hard-pressed to find an organization whose members more clearly espouse the passion and purpose for why they exist. Several have been among our fastest-growing customers, so being named Solar Partner of the Year is a great honor. Over the course of our 96-year history, many customers have connected with French Gerleman because we provided access to certain products and services they needed. The solar industry shifted that model in a way that has caused us to become a better business partner. Most MOSEIA members already had access to their primary hardware needs, but our ability to provide access to credit and logistics (warehousing, just-in-time delivery, balance-of-system components) has been to key to aligning with the best of their industry.
