Reading, Pa. – On June 12th, Fromm Electric Supply sponsored the 3rd annual “Go Green Night” at the Reading Fightin’ Phils (AA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies) game against the Bowie Baysox. The event, which is dedicated to building awareness for energy-efficiency and other environmentally conscious practices, featured the Reading Phillies players wearing green MLB-approved jerseys supplied by Fromm.
Along with Hubbell Lighting, Lutron, Philips-Advance, Sylvania and GE-Appliances, Fromm promoted the energy conservation message to the 8500-plus fans in attendance via a pre-game trade show, radio interviews, video scoreboard commercials, on-field promotional activities and public address announcements. The evening concluded with a fireworks show, courtesy of Fromm and its supplier partners. Jenna McBreen, daughter of one of Fromm’s branch managers, performed the National Anthem.
“Most often, our marketing is targeted directly to our customer base, but this event allows us to reinforce our message to a much broader audience in a fun setting,” said Lou Fromm, VP of Marketing & Communications for Fromm. “Thanks to everyone involved in the evening at the ball game, we continued our hit streak,” he added.
The game-worn green jerseys were raffled off at the end of the night with proceeds of more than $1,500 going to the Berks Conservancy, the area’s leading non-profit advocacy group for conservation of the environment.
