Skokie, Ill. — Generation Brands, the parent company to Feiss, Monte Carlo Fans, LBL Lighting, Sea Gull Lighting and Tech Lighting, today announced CEO Joe Higgins will be promoted to Chairman of the Board and Josh Weiss to Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1.
Higgins
Higgins joined Generation Brands as CEO in 2010. In his new capacity as Board Chairman, he’ll primarily work with the company’s financial partners and will still be involved in its long-term growth strategy.
Weiss
Weiss, who is currently the President of Tech Lighting and LBL Lighting, joined the organization in 2006 as Director of Product Development for both brands. Since that time, he’s been promoted to Vice President of Product Development, General Manager of Tech Lighting and then President of Tech Lighting and LBL Lighting in 2012.
“In the seven years Josh has been with the organization, he’s done an incredible job leading Tech and LBL to significant revenue growth in the face of a challenging economy,” said Higgins. “I’m extremely confident in Josh’s strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities to maximize Generation Brands’ potential in this next stage of our development.”
