There are situations when a retrofit project means a contractor needs to visit the location to discover what is needed to fix the problem. Michael Colligan calls that “The Discovery Call.” The question is, who should pay for that visit, the distributor or the contractor?
And after that, should the distributor and the contractor work out a deal where both can absorb some of that cost?
