Granite City Electric’s HR Director Recognized for Outreach Efforts

QUINCY, Mass. — Granite City Electric Supply’s Director of Human Resources, Paul Everett, accepted the 2015 Providers’ Council “Business Partnership Award.” Everett was presented the award during the Providers’ Council 40th Annual Convention, which took place at Copley Place Hotel in Boston.

According to the Providers’ Council (Massachusetts Council of Human Service Providers, Inc.), Everett was nominated for the award “… as a result of [his] exemplary commitment to and support of [their] industry.” It was the partnership with Road to Responsibility specifically – an organization focused on helping “citizens with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community” – that garnered laudatory attention for Everett.

In February 2012, Paul Everett introduced Road to Responsibility to the Granite City Electric culture, developing employment opportunities within company infrastructure for those individuals seeking to join the working community. As the 4-year anniversary with Road to Responsibility approaches, Everett and the rest of the HR team continue to create opportunities at more Granite City Electric branches for the men and women championed by the program.
