Graybar Lighting Specialist Passes Away

Thomas Aquinas Nigh passed away suddenly on January 24, 2017. He was employed by Graybar Electric as a Lighting Specialist and known to many as “Tom Nigh, the Lighting Guy.”

Nigh was a graduate of DeSmet Jesuit High School and the University of Missouri. He lived life to the fullest. He loved his family with all his heart. Everyone who met him was aware of his rare ability to make one laugh. 

He is succeeded by wife Jeannie (Boly) Nigh, who also works at Graybar; he was a dear father of Jennifer (Donovan) Herpel, Tanner Nigh and stepfather of Kaleb Connoyer; beloved son of Dr. Charles and Joan (Schaeffer) Nigh; wonderful brother to Tim, David (Sarah), Charlie (Janice), Steve (Mary), Anne (Joseph) Ward and Mary Margaret Nigh; dear son-in-law of Dorothy and the late William Boly; dear brother-in-law of Bill (Betty) Boly, Cathy (Larry) Biggs, Jan (Kelly) Foley, John (Kris) Boly and Steve (Lori) Boly; favorite nephew, uncle and cousin to the Schaeffer Family.

Services: Mass of the Resurrection was held at All Souls Catholic Church, 9550 Tennyson Ave., Overland, MO 63114 on Fri., Jan. 27 at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of Tom’s life continued with a reception in the church hall immediately following mass. In lieu of flowers, you may remember Tom through a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.
