Greg Pickens Hired as Summit Electric Supply’s Director of Learning and Development

ALBUQUERQUE, NM—Greg Pickens is now the Director of Learning and Development for Summit Electric Supply, where he will support key training for associates across the company.

Pickens has advanced as a technical trainer and training manager in the learning and development field for over 15 years. He’s designed and implemented numerous training initiatives and custom courseware, and has conducted training on various hardware and software technologies. His career shows a history of successfully executed training programs while managing teams of U.S. and global technical trainers. Most recently, Pickens’ developed and delivered technology and leadership training for Dell, Inc., an international technology solutions provider.

“Greg will be a part of Summit’s commitment to deliver excellent training and development programs to our associates,” says Dan Long, Vice President of Associate Resources.

Based out of Summit’s headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pickens is eager to turn Summit’s training program into an industry leader by growing the company’s associate and leadership development. He’ll also work to serve customers with more instructor-led training as well as mobile and e-learning opportunities.

“My objective is to create a blended and varied learning approach that helps propel Summit Electric Supply and its associates to the top of the industry,” Pickens says.
