Hammond Manufacturing Donates to Nevada School

The Mechanical Technology Program at North West Career & Technical Academy, a STEM school (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) in Las Vegas, Nevada, was in need of an enclosure to house and protect its dragster’s Racepak Data Recorder/Logger.

Hammond Manufacturing donated a Hammond Aluminum Eclipse Jr Series enclosure, which is light weight and provides Type 4X protection.

The Mechanical Technology Program teamed up with Wildman Performance and its affiliates to help the students at NWCTA gain a better understanding of manufacturing processes, simple machines, and thermodynamics. According to William Orozco of Wildman Performance: “The school’s auto shop does not teach the student just how to work on the cars, they emphasize … the technology of each part.”
